What this policy covers

This policy applies to your use of this website only. The site may link to other websites, such as My Feline or our Google reviews. We have no control over how those sites handle your data, and we recommend you check their own privacy policies.

What we collect

This is a trade website. We do not sell to consumers through it, there is no online checkout, and we do not take card payments on the site. We collect personal data in two main ways.

When you complete the trade enquiry form, we collect your business name, your name, your email address, your delivery address, your phone number if you provide it, the quantity you are interested in, whether you would like a sample, and anything you write in the message field.

When we deal with your enquiry and any resulting order, we collect the information exchanged in our correspondence with you by email or phone, and the details needed to raise an invoice and arrange delivery.

The site keeps standard server logs needed to run it securely, and uses only the essential cookies required to serve pages. We do not use advertising cookies or sell data to advertisers.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

We use your information to respond to your enquiry, to agree and fulfil a trade order, to raise invoices, to arrange delivery, and to keep records of the transaction. Our lawful basis is the performance of a contract with your business, and our legitimate interest in running and administering the company. We do not add trade enquirers to marketing lists, and we will only send you marketing if you separately ask us to, which you can stop at any time.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it except as set out here. We use a small number of trusted service providers to run the site and communicate with you, which may include our website and database hosting, our email delivery provider, and a delivery courier for fulfilling orders. These providers act on our instructions. We may also disclose data where we are legally required to, for example to comply with a court order or a request from a competent authority.

Where it is stored

We store enquiry and order data securely. Some of the providers we use to run the site and send email may process limited data outside the UK and the European Economic Area; where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards to protect it.

How long we keep it

We keep your data only as long as we need it. Enquiry data that does not lead to an order is kept while the enquiry is open and for a reasonable period afterwards, then deleted. Where an order is placed, we keep the related records for as long as needed to meet our legal and accounting obligations, which is normally up to six years, after which it is deleted.

Your rights

Under data protection law you have the right to be informed about how we use your data, to access the data we hold about you, to have it corrected if it is wrong, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to data portability. To exercise any of these, contact us using the details above. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office if you are unhappy with how we have handled your data.

Cookies

This website uses only the essential cookies needed to serve pages and keep the site secure. It does not use advertising or tracking cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, although some parts of the site may then not work as intended.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time, for example if the law changes or if we change how the site works. Any changes will be posted here, and the version in force is the one shown on this page when you visit.
